Who we are looking for
We are looking for a skilled, driven, and compassionate clinician who seeks to create a safe therapeutic environment for their clients through implementation and review of evidenced based programs. Are you an AOD professional who seeks to work alongside consultants and other specialist staff to lead group-based interventions for clients? If so, this could be the role for you!
The role is a SCHADS level 3 classified role. The position is offered as a full time, maximum term contract to 30 June 2023 with possibility of extension if funding allows. The position is based in Shepparton.
The key purpose of the position is to provide behaviour changing interventions to assist individuals to reduce or cease harmful alcohol and other drug use, and to avoid and better manage relapse. Assisting participants to establish healthier relationships and lifestyles, free of problematic alcohol and drug use.
The Therapeutic Day Rehabilitation Clinician will support the GVADS Coordinator in the day to day activities and operations including the creation and maintenance of a safe therapeutic environment. They will work alongside consultants and other specialist staff, and lead group-based interventions and assist with the daily client activity schedule. The position will also function as a key worker to a case load of clients during and following the program.
