Who we are looking for
We are looking for a passionate individual who desires to improve the lives of those battling problematic alcohol and drug use in an operational capacity. Are you someone who will strive to help clients achieve their full potential and share in the collective responsibility to make a difference in the community? If so, this could be the role for you!
The role is a SCHADS level 2 classification. The position is offered as a fixed term contract to 30 June 2023, with possibility of extension if funding allows. The role is based at the Hope Centre in Lucknow. The key purpose of the position is to provide appropriate operational responses to resident issues and in conjunction with clinical staff support residents in treatment to establish healthier lifestyles free of problematic alcohol and drug use.
A day in the life of this position includes contributing to the life of the therapeutic community (TC) by liaising closely with residents and other staff and assisting in TC processes to foster safe, therapeutic relationships within an atmosphere of mutual acceptance and harmony. The duty worker shifts are primarily after-hours covering afternoons, nights and sleepovers and day work on weekends.
