The position is offered as a fixed term contract to June 30th, 2023, with possibility of extension if funding allows. The role is based at the Therapeutic Community in Lower Plenty. The Therapeutic Community is a 143-bed residential treatment facility based on the philosophy that the community itself is the primary agent of change and support for each individual’s recovery journey.
The key purpose of the position is to foster a secure and nurturing environment for children, promoting and maximising opportunities for them to develop to their full potential.
A day in the life of this position includes: providing childcare services, developing and evaluating daily care routines to meet the social, emotional and developmental needs of individual children, recording observations and assisting parents in managing their children’s behaviour.
