Earlier this year, Mr David Bullard OBE (pictured above) retired from the Board of Odyssey House Victoria after almost 45 years of service. David was the Deputy Chair, and one of the founding members, and his wise legal counsel was always on hand. Current Board member, Michael Strong has since accepted the role of Deputy Chair.
In other Board related news, two of Odyssey House Victoria’s Board members were given awards as part of the King’s Birthday Honours list in June. The Chair of the Board, The Honourable Jenny Macklin AC, was awarded for her eminent service to the people and Parliament of Australia, to social welfare, particularly for the introduction of paid parental leave and the National Disability Insurance Scheme, and for her work on the Apology and broader work for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities as Minister for Indigenous Affairs. His Honour Michael Strong AM was awarded for his service to the law and to the community.
