Therapeutic Day Rehabilitation Clinician

The Therapeutic Day Rehabilitation Clinician will support the GVADS Coordinator in the day-to-day activities and operations including the creation and maintenance of a safe therapeutic environment. They will work alongside consultants and other specialist staff, and lead group-based interventions and assist with the daily client activity schedule. The position will also function as a key worker to a case load of clients during and following the program.

Duty Worker

The Duty Worker contributes to the life of the therapeutic community (TC) by liaising closely with residents and other staff and assists in TC processes to foster safe, therapeutic relationships within an atmosphere of mutual acceptance and harmony.

Duty Worker (Casual)

The Duty Worker helps oversee the operation of the program. The key purpose of the position is to act as the first point of contact and provide an appropriate operational response to resident issues, following established procedures. The position liaises closely with staff and ensures effective communication with residents to foster therapeutic relationships and maintain an ongoing atmosphere of mutual acceptance and harmony within the facility.

Lead Childhood Educator

The Lead Childhood Educator provides care and education to meet the needs of individual children in residence at the TC. The key purpose of the position is to implement and enhance the delivery of the children’s programs and to inform the development of policies and initiatives as required, creating a secure, and nurturing environment for children, and promoting and maximizing opportunities for the children to develop to their full potential.

AOD Clinician: Intake & Assessment

The AOD Clinician: Intake & Assessment is responsible for providing intake and assessment services. The key purpose of the position is to reduce AOD related harms to individuals and their families by conducting assessments and providing a range of counselling interventions to assist clients to change harmful behaviours.

AOD Clinician: Counselling & Assessment (Parental Backfill)

The AOD Clinician: Counselling & Assessment is responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments and providing a range of counselling interventions to assist clients and their family members to change harmful behaviours resulting from problematic alcohol and other drug use. The key purpose of the position is to reduce harms and increase a client’s capacity to effectively manage the difficulties they are experiencing.

Facilitator Drink Drug Drive Behavioural Change Program

The key purpose of this position is to deliver the VicRoads Drink and Drug Drive Behaviour Change Program (BCP). This Victorian Government mandated program is for individuals who want to get their driver’s licence back after a suspension under the revised drink and drug driver legislation and as part of the Victorian government’s Towards Zero: Road Safety Strategy and Action Plan.
