The key purpose of the position is to reduce harms and increase a client’s capacity to effectively manage the difficulties they are experiencing.

Early Career Development & Student Placement Coordinator

This key role is responsible for the delivery of first aid and cardiopulmonary updates to the public, staff of Odyssey House and students enrolled in Odyssey Institute’s Diploma and Certificate IV in Alcohol and Other Drugs courses. Work may include the review of learning and assessment resources and quality documentation. Delivery of the first aid competencies is via mixed mode incorporating online access to learning and assessment materials plus face to face sessions for the observational assessment of the competencies.

Youth AOD Practitioner

The role of the Youth AOD Practitioner, is to provide evidence informed AOD treatment and collaborative care to young people, using brief interventions, care planning, AOD counselling, harm reduction and trauma informed frameworks. The Youth AOD Practitioner will provide treatment and collaborative care that is both safe and effective for young people and families with intersectional needs. The Youth AOD Practitioner will provide resilience based AOD case management, drawing on their lived and/or work experience, delivering structured non-residential AOD rehabilitation programming (both individual and group). The role will also collaborate and integrate treatment with co-located and out-posted services at the Youth AOD Intersectional Care Coordination Platform.

Duty Worker (Casual) 3 X Positions Available

The Duty Worker helps oversee the operation of the program. The key purpose of the position is to act as the first point of contact and provide an appropriate operational response to resident issues, following established procedures. The position liaises closely with staff and ensures effective communication with residents to foster therapeutic relationships and maintain an ongoing atmosphere of mutual acceptance and harmony within the facility.

Case Manager & Group Facilitator: Discovery AOD Day Program

The Day Program Case Manager & Group Facilitator is responsible for supporting the Coordinator in the creation and maintenance of a safe therapeutic environment.  The key purpose of the position is to implement and review an evidence-based program that assists participants to establish healthier relationships and lifestyles free of problematic alcohol and drug use.

Senior AOD Clinician

The key purpose of this position is to support the Clinical Team Leader in implementing programs and standards, model clinical best practice, and promote TC values amongst the staff group, residents, and their families.  Through direct supervision of the AOD Therapists, the Senior AOD Therapist guides staff in fostering the TC process of mutual self-help recovery.

Administration Coordinator (Purchasing)

The Administration Coordinator (Purchasing) coordinates, purchasing and distribution within the TC. This position will work closely with all TC goods suppliers and service providers to ensure the highest quality goods and services at competitive rates, and support Residents in their related job functions. This position will also work closely with other OHV Residential sites to ensure consistency of purchasing and economies of scale.
